As a free mobile operating system, Android is used by a high number of mobile devices. For the same reason, it should come as no surprise that there are numerous apps already created for the OS (and constantly more are being introduced to the app stores). It’s hard to pick just a small number of these and objectively rank them, so instead I will just give you my personal top eight.
8. Kindle :-
Starting the list with this little Amazon app. Kindle lets you you buy Amazon books even if you don’t have a Kindle, which is a brilliant way for Amazon to sell more books. It’s the perfect app for anyone who enjoys reading and it’s really handy to have at all time – you never know when you might need a book or two.
7. SoundCloud :-
SoundCloud is a great app that gives you access to tons of music for free. You can listen to your favorite tracks or you can search for new ones – the choice is all yours. It has a simple design and is really easy to use. An added benefit is that it’s integrated with your Google + profile.
6. Flixter :-
Do you like going to the movies? If you do, then Flixster is just the app for you. Since I am a movie lover, I can’t live without this app anymore. It let’s me see what movies are going to play where and when based on my location and gives me easy access to reviews from Rotten Tomatoes. I absolutely adore it and if I had more time to go to the cinema, this app would be further down the list.
5. GasBuddy :-
GasBuddy is something like Flixster for gas stations. It’s a nifty little app that can save you a lot of money. When you run it, it will give you a map with gas stations close to your location. The stations, themselves, have been ranked by the community so you can see where you can get the best deals. It’s a really beneficial app so if you live in the US or Canada, make sure to use it.
4. Best Apps Market :-
An app that lets you find other apps. This is another perfectly good tool to help you find exactly what you are looking for. The apps in the store are neatly categorized so you should have absolutely no trouble with finding what you’re looking for.
I admit it – I love widgets. I just love having them on my screen, whether we are talking about my computer or my phone. That’s why Widgetsoid is a perfect app for me. It’s a nice app that lets you create widgets from different phone functions. You can make a widget to switch your Wi-Fi on and off, a widget to see your battery life, phone temperature or the time. If you like widgets, this app is the way to go.
2. Goggle Chrome :-
Google Chrome is the best and fastest mobile web browser I’ve used. It’s works really well and has almost all features Chrome for PC has. You can also sync Chrome from your phone with the one on your computer.
1. Zedge :-
This is absolutely my favorite app. One of the reasons I love widgets is the fact that I love customization and you can hardly find any app out there that will help you customize your phone better than this bad boy. Always packed with the newest ring tones, slickest wallpapers and most awesome notification sounds, Zedge enables you to customize your phone just the way you like it. This is a must-have app to anyone who wants their phone to stand out.
